My Favorite Things: The Ginger Duo

Doctor J and I are back from a wedding of one of his medical school friends  and (now) his lovely wife!  The two met in college, dated throughout medical school and now reside in the Big Apple.  It was a quick trip but it was so much fun to see all of Doctor J's medical school friends at the wedding and home friends on Monday on the Jersey Shore.  J even got a little surfing in, which is the thing he misses the most (besides his friends & family).  Here a a few pictures from our day on the Jersey Shore.

It is now time to report on My Favorite Things from the wedding.  As a former wedding planner and bride I always pay attention to all of the little details. You former and future brides know what I am talking about!

I had so much fun at the wedding that I didn't capture everything on film, but here are a few of My Favorite Things from the wedding weekend:

1. Doctor JM has divorced parents.  They each walked down the aisle with their significant others and then walked back up the aisle to walk down together with their son.  I thought this was a very sweet touch and a great way to include everyone in the ceremony.

2. The bride's glow and energy.  She was so happy and it was so special to watch V on her special day. Her energy radiated!

Now time to gear up for the (short!) week.

How was your labor day weekend?

Aw, awesome!

Glad you guys had such a good time (and I agree about the nice touch from the divorced parents, fantastic show of solidarity!).

Also, your gorgeous red mane is luxurious and just fabulous! Kind of makes me miss my long hair (I lopped it off -- it was waist-long -- back in February down to a near-my-earlobes bob).

I do love having short hair, it's an awesome and refreshing change, plus my hair grows freakishly fast anyway and has already grown over 8cm...but, all the same, I'm looking forward to long tresses again some day soon!
