Sister & Cooking

IMG_2957

Last weekend my sister T came to visit.  It was SO nice getting to spend some quality time together.  One thing she doesn't get to do too often in New York is cook,  so we made a feast one night and did some baking on the side.  Nothing too fussy or fancy, but here are some cookies we spiced up after Doctor J said he had a craving for Reese's.

We dashed off to walgreens to see what was left of their valentines candy (you know it's the best time to buy it!) We made him cookies, but Doctor J happened to be on call that night.  By the time the cookies were done Doctor J was gone, so...more cookies for us!

The little things

After a long day, there is nothing like a bit of fresh air and a beautiful sunset... (and Doctor J making it home before 9:00PM)

This Valentines Day I believe...

{Via}

I believe in pink.
I believe that laughing is the best calorie burner.
I believe in kissing, kissing a lot.
I believe in being strong when everything seems to be going wrong.
I believe that happy girls are the prettiest girls.
I believe that tomorrow is another day and I believe in miracles.

(Last) Sunday bloody Sunday

This week has crept on by and don’t we just love that!

The Newlymeds spent last weekend in NYC.   After 14 full days of work, it was awesome to relax in one of our favorite places.  We both love being back in NYC and it was an added treat to be able to slip a Birthday celebration in with all our dear friends, followed by a perfect Sunday in the city

Some of the sweetest Sundays include, good food, good people, good cocktails, and good walks.

We took a post brunch walk on The Highline, which is right next door to The Standard.  Miles and miles of NYC from 10 stories up!

Up Next: We also attended a wedding of one of Doctor J's medical school friends, JO, who married the lovely G., while in NY.  "My Favorite Things" post is coming soon!
